We are a young startup and have just launched the product. We are seeking our first customers to Beta test the platform.
Currently all work on the project has been done by the Founder, Liat Hoffman. When we get our first customers, we plan to scale out our operations as needed.
While the Beta customers will get a reduced price in exchange for your patience and valuable feedback as we prepare for our general availability (GA) release, we can’t afford to provide a fully free trial at this time since the project is fully self funded by the Founder. Talk to us about what seems fair and we will work with you to find a price-point that makes sense. The current thought around pricing is as follows:
All the resources spun up by our IaC scripts will run in your AWS account, your Github organization, and your Terraform Cloud account, and you will be responsible for all the fees incurred as well as the costs for any software licenses or subscriptions needed, eg: Groundcover, OpenAI API, AWS fees, GitHub (copilot, advanced security, seats for developers), Terraform Cloud, HCP Packer, etc.
DevOpser retains ownership of all IaC Scripts, but the customer will purchase the right to non-exclusively lisence their use in perpetuity, and continue to have access to any updates and upgrades published so long as they remain a DevOpser subscriber. All demo applications are based on open source libraries so their use will follow the lisence requirements of those projects. You are welcome to migrate any applications developed on the DevOpser platform to any other DevOps vendor – you own your applications.
All customers in the Beta will be working directly with the Founder, Liat Hoffman, who will personally provide customer support to them. As DevOpser scales as a company, we will define the customer support tiers and financial model based on the needs of our customers.
Since DevOpser is self funded by the Founder, the cost to run all the resources of the demo at all times is currently unsustainable. As part of our “Know Your Customer” process to vet our first potential customers, we will gladly provide a personalized demonstration of the platform, and will spin up the demo only as needed in order to keep our costs as low as possible.
